Then and Now. . Paul's Boutique The First Collection. . 2006

PB 2012 Collection

My Paul's Boutique bags from the first collection in 2006 were just stunning. Sequins, soft fabrics and gold made them look glamorous and well worth every penny. At the time, the brand wasn't as well known and I easily had up to 50 girls ask me where I got my blue PB bag from.
The first collection launched in Selfridges as a concessions brand and I was well and truly addicted. Lunching with a friend, I bumped into Paul at a restaurant in North West London and discovered his warehouse was in my local area. He invited us to the sample sale seeing as we were both carrying his bags at the time. We came back with a box full of glittering hoodies and bags for an absolute bargain (hopefully post some photos on them soon).
Anyhoo, PB has since become one of the most popular UK fashion brands, but I am sad to say that their first collection was bursting with originality whereas their current lines are a little bit too commercial. Nonetheless, they still churn out some really cool bags and accessories so check out their new stuff online.

Bip Ling at Zayan 2012 Launch, Dubai. . .

Images from Bipling.com

Ergh, I was uber jealous of Bip Ling, fashion blogger and DJ, when I saw her photos at the Zayan launch in Sauce, Dubai. How freaking cool is this ipad case? I don't even have an ipad but I wants it. She looked fab in a Zayan bow and dress combo with Louis Vuitton heels.

I Heart Choochie Choo. .

Sometimes living in your overdraft is a good thing, because you search eBay for cheap(er) jewellery and come across some really cool brands. Just like Choochie Choo, a handmade accessories and jewellery brand made by Carly, a young designer and creative cat. Her designs have been featured in Cosmopolitan UK worn by Pixie Lott and other celebs like Ellie Goulding, Selena Gomez and Alexandra Burke to name a few. Aside from the celebrity following, the best part is that the necklaces start at £6.99 which is a frigging bargain. Check out her stuff online if you love cute and quirky jewellery pieces that can be personalised too, I heart the Barbie necklaces.

HTT Style Gems: Ice Cool Mint Blouse

This HTT style featured on 'Asian Barbie' (I couldn't find a better Barbie model) has one of the most popular colour combos on this season, ice cool mint and black, another fabulous piece from the Blanco collection. Team it with a black pencil skirt like Barbie or black trousers (I prefer trousers as I don't do skirts), plain black heels and a Chloe patent clutch for instant glam. I wouldn't do the red lip makeup for this look, Barbie is a bit OTT on the makeup so tone it down a notch.

Head-To-Toe Style Gems: How to Wear Printed Shirts

It's been some time since I last blogged, my life has been a blur of meetings in East London with brands to get my latest project going (more details to come soon) as well as trying to keep up to date with my current job which has meant upcoming job interviews and late night work not to mention trying to keep my dwindling social life going attending engagement parties which has left me exhausted. Living in London and being middle class means keeping a 'sensible' career going at the same time to fund any real passions.

Anyhoo, back to the HTT outfit of today. Blanco in Westfield really is my happy place. I spend way too long in there browsing their amazing collection of shirts and trousers (the male sales assistant greeted me with 'Back again?' *cringe*) and if you're looking for some key work wear items, or casual glam tops/shirts, it really should be your main destination. Heavily influenced by high fashion, it is always one step ahead of other high street stores and very reasonably priced with shirts starting at £19. I loved this silk shirt with the chain print and thought it would look fab with a pair of skinnies, nude heels and a Lanvin Happy Medium Shoulder bag (Net-a-Porter). Love this outfit for day and night.
